About company
Company Almex Sp. z o.o. was established in 1991, initially focusing on the purchase and processing of steel scrap. In 2007, SCHOLz AG, one of the largest conglomerates in the scrap metal trade, acquired 50% of the company’s shares. In the same year, the company moved to a new location at Ks. St. Kujota 1 in Szczecin, gaining its own quay. In 2009, we expanded our operations to include the purchase of non-ferrous metals and batteries, as well as the dismantling of floating units and rail vehicles.
The convenient location in the port of Szczecin, along with having our own quay and railway siding, is our advantage. At the quay, we handle both the loading of scrap onto floating units and the dismantling of ships, floating cranes, etc.
We have modern equipment for loading and unloading scrap, as well as our own fleet of trucks, enabling us to provide efficient and reliable logistics services.
In 2014, STEIL HOLDING GmbH, a German conglomerate in the scrap metal trade, acquired shares from SCHOLz AG, becoming a co-owner of Almex Sp. z o.o.
In 2019, STEIL HOLDING GmbH acquired the remaining 50% of shares in the company, becoming the sole owner of both firms.
We are focused on providing comprehensive service to our clients, with a qualified team ensuring competent and reliable assistance to each customer. We strive to offer competitive prices, and our clients always have the opportunity to negotiate prices and delivery conditions.
